Red Sammy Hagar read online review & book description:

Sammy Hagar—legendary lead singer of Van Halen, founder of the Cabo Wabo Tequila brand, and one of rock music’s most notoriously successful performers—tells his unforgettable story in this one-of-a-kind autobiography of a life at the top of the charts. From his decade-long journey alongside Eddie Van Halen to his raucous solo career with Chickenfoot and everything in between—the drugs, groupies, and excesses of fame, the outrageous stadium tours, and the thrill of musical innovation—Hagar reveals all in this treasure trove of rock-and-roll war stories. Red is a life-changing look at one of music’s biggest talents—an essential read for music fans and anyone dreaming of becoming rock’s next number one star.

Admittedly I didn't know much about Sammy Hagar before reading this book. Big fan of his days with Van Halen. It is a raw presentation of his successful life but not in an egotistical way. Sammy is a good example of never stop believing in yourself. Live life with a passion and do not let your mistakes weigh you down. It is surprisingly a very good read, worthy of one's time. Highly recommend it.

They only time I saw Sammy play was way back in 1977. To this day I truly believe he blew Boston off the stage that night in Morgantown, WV from that moment on I have been listening to the music of the The Red Rocker ever since . I still have his live album... All Night Long . Keep on rocking and having fun Sammy .

Good book, really enjoyed his life story. The Van Halen brothers look bad in his recollection. I believe his story to be insightful and true . Much respect for Sammy . Seems like a great guy. ..

Wow!!!! Inspirational! I met Sammy at Emerils in 1995 at the MGM in Las Vegas when I worked there and took his mother to the casino and kept an eye on her for him. Truly a great lady!!! Sammy is a great inspiration and after reading this book I am totally honored to have met him and have a picture with him to this day in my office. This book has to be read and he takes the high road and tells it how it is. Funny thing is I have more respect for Van Halen after reading this and figured these guys were just confused the whole time with the rock legend attitude and lost the passion. I had NO IDEA he was involved with so many successful businesses in his life. Like I said its a great read and ironically I read it the last two days and didn't know his Tequila Plant is down the road from my hotel in Jalisco . You will be inspired by his passion for not only his love of music but his desire to succeed in everything he does, the love he has for his family, friends, co-workers and employees and his charities should not go unnoticed but that's how he operates, wanting nothing from anyone just the respect he deserves and the love of his family. Thanks for the book Sammy I will definitely read again!!!

I grew up with Van Halen music. I was a huge fan. When Sammy lead the band they went from Great Band to Mega band. Sammy has soul and his soul is spilled out in this book. Congrats to him for his success, his accomplishments and most importantly, his legacy as a Rocker. Brian
