Haunted on Bourbon Street Deanna Chase read online review & book description:

Jade loves her new apartment--until a ghost joins her in the shower.

When empath Jade Calhoun moves into an apartment above a strip bar on Bourbon Street, she expects life to get interesting. What she doesn't count on is making friends with an exotic dancer, attracting a powerful spirit, and developing feelings for Kane, her sexy landlord.

Being an empath has never been easy on Jade's relationships. It's no wonder she keeps her gift a secret. But when the ghost moves from spooking Jade to terrorizing Pyper, the dancer, it's up to Jade to use her unique ability to save her. Except she'll need Kane's help--and he's betrayed her with a secret of his own--to do it. Can she find a way to trust him and herself before Pyper is lost?

I read this book back when it first came out. Listening to it now made it even better! I can't stress enough what you guys are missing. Deanna has created such a wonderful world of characters. I want to live in New Orleans so bad! Kane and Jade make the perfect pair. I liked the scenes where she was teaching the glass making bead stuff. I would like to learn now. Lol. I loved Bea and can't wait to read more of her. The narrator did such a fabulous job on here, especially with all the different voices. Incredible!

I could almost give it 5 stars, but, the beginning feels like the middle until you get a few chapters in. You meet all the characters right away but it takes a while to get to know them and some longer than others. Once you do know them I had a hard time putting the story down I had to find out what was going to happen. It's a fun read and I would recommend it.

My mother lived in the French Quarters in the 1940's. I also lived there with my twin & mother for awhile after we were born. We always took trips there whenever possible. This book brought back lots of wonderful memories especially of hauntings in so many places in New Orleans. Couldn't put the book down until I completed every last page Definitely my idea of a great read with my popcorn at my side...KSW
