Random Lark O'Neal read online review & book description:

Life is random...

19-year-old Jess Donovan knows better than most that life is random. Her mom is dead, and she's on her own, patching together a living as a waitress when a car crashes through the restaurant where she works. In two seconds, she loses her job, watches her best friend hauled away in an ambulance…and meets Tyler Smith, one of the hottest, most fascinating—and mysterious guys she's ever met.

Both for the good and the bad…

Within days, Jess is swept up into the mesmerizing force that is Tyler. Their every touch sizzles, every kiss dissolves them both, and the sex is…fierce. But there's more to Tyler than his hypnotic eyes. He's adrift, too, and his body—and his soul—are covered with scars. How can she find herself with a guy who is lost himself?

Until you take charge...

Jess is determined to find her way, and make a life that is better than the one she was given. But how?

Random! Just like life. I identified with Jess in a lot of ways; a voracious reader, lover of gardening and my own understanding of having to recover from the perils of life itself. A very interesting read!

Very good story, with great characters who seem so real. You get to know them through Jess, because it's a first person novel. People are more than what they seem, and no one has a perfect life. Read it. I think it's a great book for everyone.

The first book was free and it mentioned he chaos of her life. I figured let me give it a try. I read all the books in a day because I was addicted. The biggest point for me was the fact she touched in amazing description the emotional and psychological challenges of two people from two entirely different worlds. The characters are relatable and just amazing storyline. Can't wait to read the final ending of Jess and Tyler.
  • It's was ok, I liked it but not love it

I guess it's very repetitive the bad boy trend deal, Cinderella story. It did keep me interested, good for an everyday read. Not happy I came to find out there's more books for me to find out what happens next.

I am not a very active reader. It takes a lot to engage me into reading. But I finished this book on my iPhone in 2 days and the second book in 26 hours. Definitely a good read!

I loved the connection she has w/ her new man, & all the similarities w/ her life & mine, & especially loved the little "signs" trying to guide her thru life. I really got into this book, & would love to one day read the next if it becomes free one day! I was very bummed that the ending seemed to be just the beginning for her, but now I am hooked! Thanks to the author for such a great read! Keep it up!
