It is 1871 and Rosie Landerback decides to become a Mail Order Bride.

Rosie Landerback lives in Kentucky with her abusive husband, Allan Arley. She hates her marriage, but she does not see any alternative in her life than to keep going. But then her husband Allan Arley disappears after a fight in the middle of the night and his body is found dead in the river. She finds herself thrown into poverty and decides to become a Mail Order Bride to Jesse, a gentle cowboy from Colorado, who she falls in Love with.

And then Allan Arley returns. He follows Rosie’s trail to Colorado and accuses her of living in Bigamy and demands his wife to go back to him. He promises Rosie that he has changed his bad habits and will make her a good husband. But Rosie does not trust him anymore and asks him for a divorce which he does not want to grant her.

Will Rosie return to her first husband or will Jesse, who has fallen in Love with his Mail Order Bride, be able to make his marriage to Rosie legal?
