Means and Ends is set in the City of Gates. It’s a depraved, evil city held under the firm control of the Compact. A group of families who together control the trade to the other planes; they’re bound by blood oaths and pacts to keep the peace. But in the Gates magic and money rule all, and what they can not do openly the families of the Compact do in secret with pawns and cats-paws.
The Blood Princess is one such cat-paw. A red haired beauty she leads an all female team of mercenaries, one of many who work in the cities shadows doing the Compact Families dirty work.
But as the universe's crossroads, everyone and everything has a stake in what happens in the city. So when Gwendolen the Blood Princess's half sister and the team's cleric gets tapped by her church to stop an inter-dimensional trade deal the rest of the team is more than willing to help: for the right price.
The only problem: to find out more about the trade means entering the Pits, a Demon's home away from home, and a free mortal no go zone. To get in, the team has to call upon an old enemy. One who is charging a particular price that only Gwen and pay.
The fifth book in the Blood Princess Saga of erotic dark fantasy, Means and Ends brings a more spiritual (submissive?) perspective to the City of Gates and those who call it home.
