I have been waiting for this book for what seems like forever (I know, dramatic much?) and it was so worth the wait. Celeste is back and she has a battle ahead of her! Her soulmate, the love of her life, is now occupied by an evil entity. The way this book started really set the tone and pace of the story. We see John’s mindset and know the fight is on from page 1. And what a fight it is. I really thought the pace of this story was exactly right. Time was of the essence and I could feel the sense of urgency with every page. That need to get there before it’s too late kept me on edge and kept my nose buried in the book. And the underlying theme of love/hate and how the purity of those emotions shape who we become and how we live. Bravo! I love this series. I adore watching this family grow and change. And boy, this newest twist will be such fun to watch! I’m excited for the next one already!

Once I started this book I could not put it down. This is the 4th book in the Celeste Files series, but seriously, they are all so well written you could read each one as a stand alone. I enjoyed this book so much that I have decided to re-read the entire series again. Kristine Mason has once again knocked it out of the ball field with a scary fast paced novel that makes you remember the power of love. The characters were very believable and the banter between John and Vigo were sometimes cracking me up. A very enjoyable read that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys physic mysteries. I can't wait for the next book :) (less)
