Picture Perfect (Weddings by Design Book #1) Janice Thompson read online review & book description:

Feisty wedding photographer Hannah McDermott has dealt with her share of difficult brides. But none can compare to the ultimate Bridezilla she's dealing with now. Still, she's trying desperately to impress Bella Neeley, Galveston Island's most sought-after wedding planner, so she can take the top spot in Bella's list of recommended photographers--a spot currently occupied by her arch-rival, Drew Kincaid. What she doesn't count on, however, is falling head over heels for the competition.

With her contagious humor and cast of quirky characters, Janice Thompson gives readers more of the bridal business drama they want in a brand-new series all about those long-suffering people who make beautiful weddings happen. Readers are desperately waiting for more of Bella and this new series brings her back in a big way, while introducing new characters fans will love. Fans will laugh out loud as they experience this breezy and entertaining novel from a great storyteller.

    Well written.
  • Light hearted with some key flaws

The highlights for me were the light hearted banter between friends and of course the sage wisdom, albeit some unconventional, from grandpa. Several flaws for me were the drastic flip for Hannah between competition and romance, there was no dating period or true get to know or hints at dates and bam, he is popping the question. Also for a church going man, who sings with worship and helps with youth and mission trips, he suddenly joins her at her church with no release from God to go there or do the leads actually attend church together yet Hannah is surprised by his level of involvement (which I don't think it's the later given that she has such an awareness concerning Drew that if they attended together, she would know.)anyway, it is a light read and a fun little reading escape.

I really enjoyed this book. The fact that it focused on God & to look to him instead of the problems in life was something that I enjoyed. A romantic book with a spiritual & positive message. Will be telling people about this book.

It was cute. Describing it as a romantic comedy fits it perfectly.

I love this series. It's so inspirational. I hate to put it down. I enjoy how they encourage one another with prayer & scripture. It encourages me to be more like Christ in all that I do.
